The Southern Union Men’s Leadership Council is a team of committed conference-level men’s ministry leaders who are actively building stronger men of God through building a stronger men’s ministry.

  • Southern Union Men’s Leadership Council – composed of men’s ministry leaders from the SU.
  • Team – we work together and are all “ALL IN”
  • Committed – we have all signed the members commitment document.
  • Men’s Ministry Leaders – men’s ministry leaders who provide direction for their men.
  • Actively – by being engaged in the men’s discipleship process we walk the talk and lead by example.
  • Building Stronger Men of God – stronger men, build stronger families, that build stronger churches.
  • Building a Stronger Men’s Ministry – a continual improvement process that seeks to engage all men.



  1. I will make every attempt to attend every meeting except for extenuating circumstances.
  2. I will communicate with the team leader of any situation where I cannot attend.
  3. During the virtual meeting I will have my camera on and stay engaged.


  1. I will be a source of encouragement to my fellow team members.
  2. I will be teachable and complete assignments on time.
  3. I will not be defensive when fellow team members challenge me.
  4. I will follow through on my commitments.
  5. I will be authentic and transparent in team discussions.


  1. I will use the group messaging app to communicate.
  2. I will respond to all texts and emails from the council leader.


  1. I will lead a men’s group that meets weekly.
  2. I will complete Every Man A Warrior book 1 (9 lessons)
  3. I will complete Quest for Authentic Manhood (24 lessons)


  1. The council will have 16 members, two members from each conference.
  2. Each team member will have actions that align with our stated commitment.
  3. The team will meet on the 4th Tuesday of each month via Zoom from 10:30-11:30 am ET.
  4. The Union Men’s Ministry Coordinator will share the leadership role for the team.
  5. An action/decision register will be kept assuring results through accountability.
  6. A secretary role will be assigned to manage the action/decision register.
  7. An agenda will be distributed 1 day before each meeting by the team leader.
  8. Any member can submit agenda items to the team leader, preferably more than a week beforehand.
  9. Team progress tracking will be accessible to all members via Excel spreadsheets.
  10. Communication that is content heavy will be sent via email.
  11. Short or urgent messages will be sent by phone, text, and our group app.
