Fathers: The Strength of the Home

Because Father’s Day is coming up on June 16, our communication focus this month is fatherhood.  And since most of you reading this email are dads, and super busy, I felt this would be the perfect time to try out a new streamlined format for our weekly email to save you some time. Here goes!

New Simplified Email Format

This month our weekly email will feature only three sections to simplify your reading experience.  The three sections are listed below.

1 – EDUCATING – a featured message.

2 – EQUIPPING – links to resources.

3 – ENGAGING – opportunities to take action.

Now, take a few minutes to scroll along and maybe even click on something that peaks your interest. And then take action to become an better dad this month!

The Intentional Father

One of the greatest roles that a man can play during his lifetime is that of being a godly father… an intentional father.

John Tyson, author of The Intentional Father, presents a case that there are 5 types of fathers; the irresponsible father, the ignorant father, the inconsistent father, the involved father, and the intentional father.

“An intentional father as a man who is deeply invested in discovering who his children are and how he can help them reach their redemptive potential.”

Many men intend to be intentional fathers, but very few men actually pulled it off!  Even the best men need a plan, a blueprint, for becoming intentional fathers.

So, in an effort to help dads like you become a more intentional father, we at Blueprint for Men, are providing you a wide variety of resources this month that can be put into action immediately.

Don’t just sit there! Take a step toward being a more intentional father today!

Restoring the Hearts

One of the most courageous acts you can take as a father is to seek reconciliation with your adult children.

And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse. Malachi 4:6

Here’s a short video I made while driving around town a few days ago. I pray that it challenges you to take action today!
