ADVENT WILDERNESS EXPEDITIONS

Advent Wilderness Expeditions (A.W.E.) is a consortium of Christian outdoor enthusiasts that desire to contagiously share their love of God and nature with others in awesome wild places.

AWE is an overwhelming feeling of reverence, admiration, fear, etc., produced by that which is grand, sublime, extremely powerful, or the like: in awe of God. Dictionary.com

Outdoor Adventure With a Higher Calling

Our organization name, Advent Wilderness Expeditions, when expanded, gives clarity to our purpose and calls us higher!

ADVENT…

the arrival of a much-anticipated person, thing, or event.

We provide high value experiences that are much anticipated, powerful, and memorable; experiences that elicit the awe of God in creation.

WILDERNESS…

are uncultivated, uninhabited, and inhospitable regions.

We visit wilderness areas where we sense our smallness and vulnerability, where God has taught and tested man throughout history, and where we can more easily experience the awe of God.

EXPEDITIONS…

are journeys or voyages undertaken by a group of people for a particular purpose.

Our expeditions are purposely designed to connect us to God, to nature, and to each other. Participants not only emerge stronger in every dimension but also as better stewards of the earth that God created for our enjoyment.

Experiencing the AWE of God… through the wilderness!
