Gentlemen,
You are invited to attend an immersive weekend designed to refresh and restore your parched soul. It will be a time devoted to helping you experience a deeper walk with God while in the company of a few good men in an incredible setting.
So guess where this weekend takes place? “Restoration Island” of course!
Restoration Island is a real place, not a fantasy island. It’s a secluded 16-acre private island in the middle of one of the coldest clearest rivers in the southeast, the Hiwassee River. Once there we think that you will agree that this is the perfect place to restore your soul!

Event Purpose
To develop a deeper walk with God with a small group of men while enjoying time for rest, relaxation, fishing, swiming, exploring, and fellowship.
Event Style
Structured yet relaxed. A distraction-free environment designed to help you hear God’s voice.

Qualifications
Men committed to being “All In” with Christ and who like to go camping with other like-minded men!
Registration
The weekend if free but registration is required… and donations are always appreciated!
Note: This retreat is limited to just 12 men. If you’re interested but would prefer a less primitive setting—or if this date doesn’t fit your schedule—please register your interest. As demand grows, we’ll plan additional retreats across the country in a variety of settings. By registering, you’ll also be connected with our event coordinator to explore options closer to you.
Weatherproof Commitment
The retreat will take place rain or shine.
Arrival and Departure
Arrival is Friday, 10/10, between 2:00–5:00 pm (late arrivals discouraged). The retreat begins at 6:00 pm Friday and ends at 10:00 am Sunday. Full commitment to the 40-hour experience is required.
Phones
To get the most out of the weekend phone use is strongly discouraged.
Meals
Each participant is responsible for bringing their own food and drink. Pairing up to
share meals is welcome.
Water and Fires
Filtered river water will be available for drinking and cooking. Campfires are permitted only in designated fire pits.
Lodging
Tents or hammocks may be set up in designated areas only.
Sanitation
A pit toilet will be provided. For the sake of health and environmental stewardship, it is the only approved facility. Bring your own toilet paper.
Gathering Format
The full group will meet for teaching sessions, then break into small groups for deeper reflection and application.
Retreat Director/Facilitator
Tom Pyke
Tom has been involved with Blueprint for Men since it’s inception and is an integral part of the Blueprint for Men leadership team. Tom’s career path included senior management positions within large corporations, specializing in organizational effectiveness and process improvement. These skills have been a blessing to this ministry and in guiding men with developing goals and plans for life.
Tom has a passion for teaching men how to connect with God and become authentic men through a daily walk with God. He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys hiking and backpacking in remote places. He has led many small groups since joining the ministry as a volunteer and gets great satisfaction in seeing men discover the value of fellowship and brotherhood.
Tom is married to Trina and lives in Oceanside, California. He is the proud father of 3 sons and 2 stepsons and is blessed with 5 grandsons and 3 granddaughters. Life is good!
